Anchorage is at
the bottom of the central portion of the state and at the head of the Cook Inlet
just below and to the left of the number 2 in the first map. Across the
Inlet to the West is Lake Illiamna.
There are no roads to the Western half of Alaska including to Lake Illiamna and the Holitna
River. Our fishing and hunting lodge is exclusively placed! The Holitna River Lodge is about 200
miles SW of Anchorage and much further down than shown in the far right map. Area 131 of the lower right grid map contains the Holitna and
the Kuskokwim River systems.
These areas are simply teaming with wildlife. They are scenic and some
of the most productive and remote big game hunting and
fishing areas in Alaska.
Click here to see all the various kinds of animals and fish we have in our area and
details about each. Numerous trophy moose, grizzly bear, brown bear, black
bear, caribou and wolf have been harvested. The brownish areas in the
middle map show numerous
mountain ranges. Alaska has over 40,000 lakes, and is truly America's last frontier. |
