Raft Trip 1: (Class 4: Advanced Adventure. This Includes avoiding obstacles and tight turns. )
The Ho-Ho River flows 184 miles from Whitefish Lake and merges with the Holitna River 4 miles from our main lodge. We will land you on the upper Ho-Ho and raft you back down to the main lodge. These rivers have clear, rocky bottoms and are very remote. The rivers are full of Kings, Chums, Silvers, Charr, Greyling, Pike, and Sheefish. There is an abundance of wildlife everywhere you go!
Raft Trip 2: (Class 3: Intermediate Adventure. This is more Family Friendly.)
The Holitna River flows from the Shotgun Hills. The smaller rivers, such as the Chukowam, and the Kogrukluk, meet 100 miles from our main lodge. The native name for the headwaters of the mighty Holitna River is the Kashegolok. There are two options for Raft Trip #2. The First available option is to Raft for 2 days and camp for 1 night. The second available option is to raft and camp the whole week and end up at our main lodge. Both options provide the opportunity for some of the best photo-ops!
Our Mountain Camp places you in the remote Alaskan mountains. August is known for the lavish mountains, full of berries, bears, moose, and caribou! You can also spot the occasional wolf or wolverine! It’s the best way to disconnect from the busy demands of our hectic everyday world. Here one has the ability to reconnect to Alaska and the majestic creation. We provide satellite phones and perform routine flyovers. We make sure to keep you in touch with the main lodge and pilots at all times.
River Boat Trip:
Here in Alaska, we have so many rivers to explore, including the Ho-Ho and the Holitna Rivers. We have the ability to cover 50 miles in a day on our Boat Trips. I personally, have had many years on these rivers, including a trip that took me 70 miles up the Titnuk and another adventure took me 40 miles up the Chulitna River. Alaska offers an experience like no-other. There are many amazing river systems that have been untouched and are ready to be discovered!
